Do we need Indian social media platforms?
Nowadays, social media is not just a hip phrase; it is a requirement for both individuals and enterprises. Social media’s significance in our lives is increasingly undeniable. Social media plays a significant role in the lives of the majority of us. Pick your favourite from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or WhatsApp. No one can dispute that without these sites, our days would be lacking. The significance of social media has grown in recognition over the past year.
We all use social media, which is evidenced by the fact that we all use Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms. It has become a component of our daily lives. But are all these IT giants Indian? We all know the answer. But, these sites not being Indias, has it been a matter of concern in recent times?
We need one, as the only remaining adherent of the dharmic tradition and one-fifth of the global population. Without independent social media, we cannot have our proper place in the diverse globe. What major problem will an Indian social media network be solving?

Since the media aids in the dissemination of knowledge, it serves as a public good, hence it is crucial to be as inclusive as possible. And there is no other way to achieve that than through advertising instead of a subscription. Of course, many people might find these adverts bothersome or obtrusive. To supply such a public good sustainably is the only inclusive method available.
Users should have the option to choose not to share specific data or be exposed to advertisements on the site through a premium version that can be behind a barrier, as far as privacy is concerned. Lack of transparency has the potential to erode confidence.
