The Brazilian rollout of the Indian microblogging service Koo app has increased its language offering to 11 with the inclusion of Portuguese. Within 48 hours after its release, the app had more than 1 million downloads in Brazil. The platform wants to expand into additional international markets. Koo App’s CEO and co-founder, Aprameya Radhakrishna, stated: “We are really grateful for Brazil’s love and support.

Within 48 hours of its release, Koo App was available in Brazil on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Being at the top is wonderful. This recommendation demonstrates that we are resolving an issue for native-speaking consumers not just in India but elsewhere. “Brazil is large in terms of social media and speaks its original language, Portuguese,” said Mayank Bidawatka, the inventor of the app. He said, “With each new language and new nation launch, we come closer to our aim of unifying the globe beyond linguistic borders. We are happy to have begun the ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ movement in the world of ICT goods.

Celebrities from Brazil have recently joined the Koo app, including Claudia Leitte, Babu Santana, Rossana Herman, and the news portal Coqui. Celebrity Felipe Neto Ku, who joined the app with over 4.5 lakh followers in just two days, has overtaken all other Brazilian users as the one with the most followers.
