Instagram not letting users log in
On Thursday, thousands of users from all around India and the globe reported issues with the Instagram photo-sharing app. Over 900 people in India reported problems accessing Instagram on Thursday night on Downdetector, a website that offers users real-time information on the status of various websites and services. Many people reported the problem on the microblogging site Twitter. “Using Google Chrome, Instagram freezes. unable to access people’s sites or view stories. It never finishes loading,” an Instagram user tweeted.

“Everything quit working. Force closed and cleared cache. Even restarted my phone. Can’t see notifications. Can’t reply to comments,” another user commented. Around 7:30 p.m., reports of the outage at Downdector peaked, with 50% of users reporting difficulties logging in, 33% reporting problems with server connections, and 17% reporting difficulties running the app.
