Everybody thinks they know how to LinkedIn. Spoiler: they don’t. Another spoiler: I’m one of
them.

They update their headline once, post a few quotes, maybe like a random post once in a while,
and then wonder why recruiters, clients, or leads never show up.

It’s not that LinkedIn doesn’t work.
It’s that you’re not working LinkedIn.

The Problem with the Way We Use LinkedIn

Your LinkedIn profile is essentially your landing page. It’s the first thing your visitors see before they decide if they want to connect (or ignore) you.

But here’s what typically happens:
● The ‘About’ section is a copy paste of their CV.
● The experience section is just a title with no story.
● The headline? An irrelevant ‘Helping businesses grow’ type of line.

And don’t get me started on the network, most people don’t even know who is actually in their network.

Where ChatGPT Changes the Game

This is where AI makes LinkedIn actually fun. When there is no guessing about what’s going to work, you can literally upload your profile as a PDF in ChatGPT and say:

“Analyze this like a personal branding strategist. Tell me what’s wrong, what’s missing, and rewrite it like it’s meant to attract the appropriate people.”

And it will.

You will get:
● Sharpened headline.
● A profile written in first person that doesn’t look like a bot.
● A game plan for posts, connections, even outreach without looking spammy.

It’s like having a LinkedIn coach that doesn’t cost $2000/hour.

The Hidden Gold Is in Your Network

But the real magic? Your LinkedIn data. Most people don’t realize you can download an archive of your entire network.

Hand that to ChatGPT, and suddenly you know:
● Which companies most of your connections work at.
● What job titles dominate your network.
● The industries and geographies where you’re strong—or missing out.

That’s not just interesting trivia. That’s strategy.

Why This Matters

LinkedIn isn’t about posting motivational quotes and hoping people notice you. It’s about telling your story in a way that lands, and then knowing exactly who you’re telling it to.

When you combine ChatGPT with LinkedIn, you stop playing blind. You get clarity, direction, and an actual system to grow.

Final Thought

Most people don’t know how to LinkedIn. But that’s not a bad thing—it just means if you figure it
out, you get ahead.

And with ChatGPT?
Figuring it out just got way easier.
