Whether you’re posting for fun, for business, or just to share your life with your friends and followers, the numbers that reflect how your posts perform speak volumes. Of the countless metrics you’ll hear about, two of the most important are reach and impressions. You need to understand that difference, because it shows you not just how far your content is traveling but also how deeply people are interacting with it and returning to it.

What’s the difference between them?

  • Impressions demonstrate how many times your content was viewed in total despite whether these were repeat views from the same individual.

  • Reach lets us know how many different people have viewed the post.

For instance, if 1 person has seen your post 4 times, then it’s 1 reach and 4 impressions.
